External Transmissions

What the Costfolio app and website send to external services, and why.

Last updated: 2026-08-13

1. About this notice

This notice describes information sent from the Costfolio app or public website to external services, the recipients, and the purposes. Use of an external service is not necessarily a disclosure of personal data to an independent third party; a provider may process data on Costfolio's behalf to deliver the service.

2. Firebase and Google Cloud

When you use an account, sign-in, cloud save, or purchase features, Costfolio sends authentication identifiers, an email address received from sign-in, Costfolio account identifiers, cloud-save content and save times, registered-device information, account settings, consent state, purchase and access state, and limited diagnostics to Firebase and Google Cloud, provided by Google LLC. This supports authentication, cloud save, server processing, purchase verification, security, and troubleshooting.

3. Sign in with Apple or Google

When you sign in with Apple or Google, the authentication request, requested permissions, and request information needed for authentication are sent to the sign-in provider you choose. Credentials, identifiers, an email address where provided, and authentication state returned by that provider are processed by Firebase and Costfolio to verify your identity and maintain sign-in state.

4. App Store and Google Play

When you purchase, restore, or manage a paid product, identifiers and state needed to confirm the product, transaction, purchase, subscription, renewal, cancellation, refund, and access are sent to the App Store or Google Play where you purchased it. This supports payment, subscription management, purchase verification, access, and refunds. Costfolio does not receive card numbers or card security codes.

5. Cloudflare

When you visit the public website, information such as your IP address, access time, page URL, request headers, browser or device details, and security signals may be sent to Cloudflare, Inc. This supports website delivery, connection protection, prevention of abuse and unauthorized access, and troubleshooting.

6. Google Fonts

When you visit the public website, information such as your IP address, browser or device details, and requested font files may be sent to Google LLC. This is used to deliver and display fonts on the site.

7. Google Forms

When you open the account-deletion or product-feedback form, technical information associated with the form request is sent to Google LLC. If you are signed in to a Google account, for example, information you enter may be saved by Google as a draft before submission and is sent as a response when you choose to submit the form. This is used to receive and handle the request or feedback. Do not send passwords, verification codes, card details, individual fixed-cost entries, or CSV files through a form.

8. Email

Only when you email a support channel, your sender address, message, attachments, and headers needed to deliver the message are sent to Google Workspace (Google LLC), which Costfolio uses to send and receive email. This supports customer support, privacy requests, and other inquiries.

9. Adding analytics or similar services

Before enabling Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Firebase Analytics, or another analytics or diagnostics service not currently listed here, Costfolio will review the data, purpose, recipient, required consent or opt-out, and the data-handling information shown in the App Store and Google Play, then update this notice and the Privacy Policy before transmission begins.
